At Jemini Response, we believe that holidays are an important opportunity for the residents of our care homes for adults with autism to relax, enjoy new experiences and spend quality time with the people who support them.

Throughout the year, residents from our residential home for autistic adults can enjoy their own individual break at Combe Haven Holiday Park, near Hastings, staying in the company’s caravan alongside their dedicated support team.

For many of our residents, their ‘holidays’ have become a much-loved tradition. Residents have been enjoying short breaks at the park for many years. There’s something special about returning to a place that’s become familiar and comfortable. Residents get to know the holiday park, recognise favourite spots and activities, and often have their own traditions that make each visit feel personal and special.

Making memories at Combe Haven Holiday Park
Each resident has their own individual holiday, accompanied by their support team, enjoying a few days at their own pace, choosing the activities and experiences they enjoy.

A home away from home
Our caravan provides a great setting for a short break. With its range of entertainment, leisure facilities and seaside location, there is so much for our residents to see and do during their stay.
The caravan makes a great base for our residents, who can enjoy the excitement of being away from home while still having a familiar and comfortable place to return to at the end of the day… and return to year-on-year.

Plenty to see and do
Every resident makes their holiday their own. Some enjoy getting involved in the activities at the park, while others may prefer a quieter day exploring the surroundings or simply relaxing in the caravan.
One of the places Harry particularly enjoys visiting at Combe Haven is the swimming pool. He has two pools to choose from – one indoors and one outdoors – and it’s easy to see which one is Harry’s favourite when the sun is shining! He loves making the most of the outdoor pool and enjoying some fun in the sunshine, then relaxing poolside to dry off!

And, if the weather isn’t too great, there’s always plenty to do inside… first stop for both Harry and Stephen is always the amusement arcade, where they have great fun playing games and trying their luck on the various machines. Harry always makes a beeline for the cars, while Stephen’s aim is to win more tickets than last time!

And then it’s back ‘home’ While Sammy loves nothing more than chilling out in front of the TV or settling down with a few puzzles, Stephen prefers to keep himself entertained with a game or two. From Operation to Frustration, he keeps us on our toes!

And, of course, a trip to the seaside wouldn’t be complete without fish and chips! Residents can enjoy a traditional favourite during their stay, making it another memorable part of their holiday.

Supporting independence and choice
For our residents, these short breaks are about much more than simply having a few days away. They provide opportunities to make choices, experience new environments and enjoy activities outside of their usual routine.

Having their own support team with them means residents can receive the individual support they need while still having the freedom to make decisions about how they spend their time.

Whether that means taking a dip in the pool, enjoying the amusements, having fish and chips, exploring the local area or simply relaxing and watching television in the caravan, the holiday is centred around each resident and what they want to get out of their break.

Creating happy memories
Each trip to Combe Haven is different because every resident has their own interests, preferences and idea of what makes a great holiday. For some, it’s the excitement of the amusements; for others, it’s swimming, enjoying a favourite meal or simply having a change of scenery. Returning year after year provides a sense of continuity

What stays the same is the opportunity to get away, have fun and create positive memories with their support team.
We love hearing about the adventures our residents have enjoyed at Combe Haven and seeing the excitement when they return home with stories and photos to share.
Being able to offer these holidays year after year is an important part of supporting our residents to enjoy fulfilling lives, experience new things and, most importantly, have fun!
Here’s to many more holidays, new experiences and happy memories at Combe Haven Holiday Park!
