Based in Eastbourne, Wheels for All is a firm favourite with our residents, offering a safe environment to experience the joy of cycling on two, three or four wheels!
‘Inclusive cycling for all’
Operating from 28 locations across the country, Wheels for All is an initiative that works alongside the charity Cycling Projects, embracing adults and children with disabilities and differing needs. It provides a range of specially adapted cycles, meaning everyone gets to take part, regardless of their ability.
Cycling is good for your health!
Learning to ride a bike is a brilliant way to build confidence for adults with autism, as well as being a great way to improve fitness.
The tricycles at the centre provide riders with a stable platform, which is especially beneficial for those with balance challenges, and their single front wheel makes them easier to manoeuvre. Double-seater bikes, or “duo tricycles,” allow two people to sit side by side, promoting easier communication and offering both physical and emotional support to our residents.
Some ride solo, while others have company… and whichever way they choose is just perfect 😊
You can just see why we all love this place.
