Stephen’s been on an adventure… to London, to Bubble Planet. What’s Bubble Planet you ask?.. well words can’t quite describe it, but pictures do!
Stephen in the ‘Bubble Bath’ – the pastel colours of the bubbles, creates a soothing sensory experience
Bubble Planet, situated in Wembley, is what’s known as ‘an immersive experience’, with different rooms featuring different ‘bubble’ themed activities, from the ‘bubble bath’ to a ‘bubble ocean’… there’s even a giant bubble and a room filled with soap bubbles! It’s a space filled with colour and light… and bubbles!
Bubble play can be a fun sensory experience for adults with autism, as it incorporates a number of the senses. Blowing bubbles helps the development of oral motor skills, while playing with formed bubbles of all sizes (like those at Bubble Planet) helps coordination.
In the LED Room…
Stephen and Lisa pretending they’re under the sea swimming with multicoloured fishes and hammerhead sharks.
In the Infinity Room…
Stephen and Lisa had a blast in the Infinity Room – a space filled with ever-changing lights and colours that respond to movement. The room came alive with Stephen’s dancing! 😊
After all the activity, Stephen really had earned his supper, and he chose to visit Frankie & Benny’s for a feast. What a great day 😊
