It was a bit of a mixed bag weather-wise this month! We were lulled into a false sense of security with milder weather to start, but boy did that change! The temperatures dropped to a bitter cold, however that didn’t deter our residents, they embraced every day, whatever the weather!

Harry was off for a bracing walk to Ashburnham Place – there’s so much open space and such a sense of calm there, Harry really enjoys it.

Stephen and Michael had fun with Lisa at Wheels for All – as we’ve mentioned before, it’s a firm favourite with our residents. It offers a safe environment for fun, relaxation and fitness!

Remember remember…

The 5th of November brought a week and more of fireworks lighting the skies around our homes. This can be a stressful and overwhelming time for some adults with autism and learning disabilities.

Organised firework displays can be very crowded for our residents, so we enjoyed the spectacle from afar – we were fortunate to have a good view in our street, so the residents had the comfort of familiar surroundings with people who care.

Our team had noise cancelling headphones on hand for any loud bangs and Harry and Ellie had a wonderful time ❤️
