September saw a change in the weather – more rain, lower temperatures… but that didn’t stop our intrepid residents from stepping out!
Stephen took a trip to the shops. He’d noticed the new Aldi had opened and walked there with Aravindh to do his personal shopping.
Our mission at Jemini is always to support our residents in living a fulfilled life, where they, if they’re able, decide for themselves what they want to do with their day… and Stephen decided he was off to the shops. 😊

Tom enjoyed a walk with Ella at Ashburnham Place, just outside Battle. It’s a popular choice for our residents, offering 220 acres to explore. With its open space, peace and quiet, it’s a wonderfully relaxing spot for Tom… why not read all about our residents’ visits there 😊

Michael meanwhile caught the bus – he was off on an adventure. His destination – Princes Park in Eastbourne – find out what makes it such a special place for our residents and why it makes Michael so happy.

Matthew has been keeping busy, enjoying the outdoors both in the park and riding his bike at Wheels for All.

He also found time to fit in a new adventure – to Jumpin Fun in Eastbourne – the giant indoor inflatable park! With ball pits, obstacles and loads of inflatables, he had a wonderful time bouncing, sliding and playing. Here he is taking on the Ninja Challenge – great balancing Matthew!

Ellie made one of many trips to the park this month 😊 and to that favourite of hers… the nest swing!

Back at home, Stephen enjoyed some time in the kitchen – first making himself toast for breakfast, and then preparing lunch the following day 😊

He made a stuffed tortilla with tomatoes and cucumber on the side, making some great choices as he learns what makes a healthy balance of food and drink – including eating his 5-a-day portions of fruit and vegetables,
“… Residents can cook, make drinks, do all sorts of things… I know it doesn’t sound much, but coming from not being able to do anything, to what they do now, is actually quite amazing.”
Why not check out ‘lunchtimes at Jemini’ and you can watch Imran as he makes his lunch…
After all his activities, Stephen had some down time on the computer, exploring his favourite letter – H.

And that’s where we leave our residents for the month, ‘H’appy and enjoying life – let’s see what adventures they have in October!
